The President, Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) Mr. Sam Ocheho has described the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Prudent Energy Holdings, Alhaji Abdulwasiu Sowami as a humble man with a large heart.

The President made the statement on the occasion of Abdulwasiu’s birthday on Wednesday

Ocheho, in a statement signed by the HFN Media Assistant, Cosmos Chukwuemeka congratulated Alhaji Sowami on his birthday stressing that Sowami believed in handball and that necessitated Prudent Energy and Services Ltd to fully sponsor the Premier League making it one of the biggest sports leagues in Nigeria.

“Alhaji Abdulwasiu Sowami is a simple and humble man who believed in the growth of handball and its development which made him to invest in the premier league”. Ocheho said.

“Five years down the line, the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League is one of the biggest and consistent leagues in Nigeria and that investment has paid off in several ways.

“Handball was almost in its comatose state but Alhaji Sowami joined hands with the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) to revive the sport and we at HFN are very grateful and want to wish him a wonderful birthday with long life and prosperity while hoping that the mutually beneficial relationship with Prudent Energy Holdings will continue.” Ocheho concluded.

Prudent Energy and Services Ltd has been the sponsor of the top tier Handball Premier League since 2018 which covered both the Men and Women Categories and its in two phases.
