Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi is thrilled to make his Everton bow against Aston Villa on Friday, but equally as he expresses disappointment with the Tofees’ 2-0 loss.

After making the bench in the Toffees’ 1-0 victory over Watford last weekend, the 23-year-old was handed his first appearance for the Goodison Park outfit, replacing Gylfi Sigurdsson in the 61st minute.

Complete Sports reports that Iwobi impressed in the game, having a goal bound effort blocked and another one hit the woodwork as Everton chased the equalising goal in the dying moments of the game.

The 23-year-old took to the social media to express his delight on his debut, although frustrated with his side’s failure to avoid defeat.

“Disappointing result, but happy to have made my debut for Everton, We go again, up the Toffees,” Iwobi posted on his Instagram page.

Iwobi joined Everton from Arsenal on a five-year deal on summer transfer deadline day.
