The Board, Management and Staff of Lobi Stars Football Club with heavy hearts mourn, at the same time condole the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), FCT Chapter over the death of their member Mr Hyacinth Umeh, who passed away last Thursday 27th August, 2020 at the age of 51 as a result of kidney complications.

In a condolence message released Wednesday, the clib noted that until his death, he was an active member and former Financial Secretary of SWAN, FCT Chapter. He is currently a staff of Plus TV Africa, also worked with Silver Bird TV and DAAR Communications (owners of AIT and Ray Power).

Testimonies from colleagues, friends and associates described Hyacinth Umeh as diligent, hard working and his on time delivery of all assignments given to him was legendary.

The Executive Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars on behalf of the Club express sadness over this untimely death and pray God to give SWAN, FCT Chapter and the immediate family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the huge loss.

In the meantime, the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ will today hold Service of Songs session in honour of the late colleague at its Secretariat in Utako, Abuja.

The service of song is expected to start from 4pm and end by 5pm.
