A former Nigeria Football Federation President and governorship aspirant for the Kogi State gubernatorial election under the platform of All Progressives (APC), Alh Sani Lulu Abdullahi has assured workers of his total commitment to reshaping and repositioning the civil service in the State with genuine reforms, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

This was contained in a Statement that was signed by Mr Sylvester Ojogbane his media committee chairman and made availlable to the NationalUpdate in Lokoja Wednesday.

He stated that with the introduction of genuine reforms that include training and retraining of staff and non interference of local government council funds the workers would regain their pride of place.

Lulu said he will reengineer the financial system of the State with a view to solving the current financial crisis by which all outstanding salaries, allowances and leave bonuses will be dispensed with.
Continuing he said he will also ensure monthly salaries are promptly paid.

“Pensioners shall get their pensions and gratuities in full as at when due in addition to building recreation centre for relaxation, exercises and hosting of seminars/ workshops on how to live as a pensioner.
“This is important as your services as senior citizen is key to the further development of the state.”

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the minimum wage bill into law on the 18th April, 2019 which was passed by the National Assembly on the 19th March, 2019.
“I am irrevocably committed to the payment of #30,000.00 minimum wage, establishment of staff club with a view to complementing the workers effort.”
He expressed solidarity with workers in Kogi State on the occasion of 2019 may day.

He said, the resilience, hard work, tenacity of purpose and loyalty to their own state has been their driving force in the face of irregular payment of salaries.
