The Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF has released the list of 21 invited players to camp for the final round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Africa Qualifiers in Angla

The list made available has a mix of foreign pro and domestic league players who will begin camping in Abuja

Johnson Anaiye (Hoopers), Tolani Buhari (Falcons); Okiki Micheal (Bulls);, Kareem Joseph (Falcons), Micheal Daramola (Hoopers)
Odufuwa Kanyinsola (Bulls), Olatunji Graham (USA/ Free agent) Wisdom Anyoaha (Bulls )
Abdulwahab Yakubu (Bulls), Ibe Agu (Customs), Victor Ezeh (Falcons) and
Adebayo Odeuleye (Hoopers).

Other include: Abah Patrick (Benue Braves),
Edenchukwu Derrick 3 (USA/ Free Agent),
Nnoruka Francis (Pillars), Vincent Nwaiwu (Hoopers), Dada Samuel (Falcons ), Chinedu Chimbou (Pillars ), Chibuzor Njoku (Bulls)
Israel Otobo (Customs) as well as Victor Koko ( Hoopers ).

The team is tutored by head coach, Ogoh Odaudu of Hoopers assisted by Baban Jubril Falcons and Abdul Mohammed (Ex-Bulls)

The Qualifiers run from November 2021 to February 2023, with five African national teams earning a spot in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 that’s scheduled to take place from August 25th to September 10th, 2023 in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Sixteen nations are vying for the continent’s five spots in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. They are Angola, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Congo DR, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia, Uganda.
