Youth and sports minister, Sunday Akin Dare has expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for giving him the privilege to serve the country in the capacity as number one sports man in the country, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Dare was on August 21, 2019 appointed the new youth and sports minister taking over from his predecessor, Solomon Dalung.

Dare, inherited a not so stable ministry with sports and youth development facing myriads of challenges. Lack of jobs for the youths and lack of motivation and sponsorship to most sports men and women among others were the system he inherited.

But one year after, precisely on August 21, 2021, the minister expressed thankfulness to President Buhari and praised God Almighty for his favour and faithfulness thus far in the saddle.

“Today, August 21, marks the first anniversary of my appointment as the Minister of Youth and Sports Development by President M. Buhari.

“All praise to God Almighty for his favor and faithfulness.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our country and thanks to Mr. President,” Mr Dare said on Friday in a tweet.
