Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong have returned to training ahead of Watford’s EPL Matchday 33 clash with league leaders Manchester City on Saturday, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Watford on Thursday confirmed that the Nigerian have returned to full training after sustaining a “slight hamstring strain” in their clash with Brentford

“Defender William Troost-Ekong has returned to full training ahead of Saturday’s trip to Manchester City, as he completes his recovery from a slight hamstring strain that kept him out of contention for the home clash against Brentford last time out.

“The Nigeria vice captain has made 16 Premier League appearances so far this season, but hasn’t turned out for the Hornets since the 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Vicarage Road on New Year’s Day,” Watford said Thursday.

The club confirmed that Troost-Ekong’s compatriot, Samuel Kalu who also was forced to miss the Brentford defeat with minor injury will train today, albeit with modified sessions.

The 28-year-old return is a relief to Roy Hodgson whose team, in precarious relegation situation, battle in-form league pacesetters Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The Honets would seek to do the “impossible” to beat City at home and salvage their relegation woes. They are currently 19 on the log with 22 points from 32 matches.
