Super Eagles and Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has pleaded for more support from the fans ahead of tomorrow’s 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifier against Liberia’s Lone Star in Tangier, Morocco

The three-time Africa Champions will seek to consolidate their Group C leadership

The match on Saturday will be played without fans as the Liberia Football Association did not make any request to CAF to have spectators in the stadium.

Speaking after he returned to the fold having missed recent matches – home-and-away qualifiers against Central Africa Republic, CAR in October – Ndịdị remained optimistic that the team will excel in Morocco.

“We the players know what we want. They should just keep supporting us. We hope for the best. Hopefully we will come out victorious,”Ndidi told the Super Eagles media.

He also spoke of his injury induced absence from the team and his feelings returning at a crucial stage of the qualifiers

”It’s amazing to be back. I am happy to be back with the team and we look forward to achieving what we set to out to do,”he said.

The Super Eagles take on Liberia’s Lone Star in a “must-win-match to consolidate their push for play-off in the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying series.

Tomorrow’s match will kickoff by 5pm Morocco time and thereafter, the team will return to Lagos, South West Nigeria for the final Group C match against Cape Verde on Tuesday, November 16 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
