The Honourable Commissioner, Othman Bala Adam, the Management and entire staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Lafia, heartily wish to felicitate and congratulate His Excellency, the digital and superactive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on the auspicious occasion of his first year in office.

1. We at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development are eternally proud to identify with Governor Sule’s giant strides in sports and youth development in the past one year.
2. Under the one year of the Governor Sule’s administration, the likes of Christabel Daniel, Bridget Gata, Chioma Ani, Beauty Timothy, Favour Aboki and Maryam Umar all won various medals for Nasarawa State at national and international Karate Championships.
3. In Taekwondo, Iho Louisa Laady won Silver medal during the Best-of-the-Best Tournament in Abuja.

Also, Nasarawa State won two Gold, two Silver and one Bronze medals after featuring Maria Raphael, Louisa Laady Iho, Bashir Usman, Isa Ahmadu, and Salihu Yusuf, at the 8th Inspector-General of Police Taekwondo Championship in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, even as the team returned with a trophy for the Best Fighter in Louisa.

1. At the Governor Nyesom Wike Ezenwo Wrestling Championship held in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, the duo of Tuleram Mamma and Albert Mbodi won Bronze Medals for Team Nasarawa, while Beauty Timothy won one Bronze Medal at the 7th African Wushu Kung-Fu Championship held in Dakar, Senegal.
2. Mustapha Mohammed won one Bronze Medal at the Para-Power(Aisha Muhammadu Buhari)Championship held in Abuja, even as both Idris Nuhu and Zubairu Haruna won Silver and Bronze Medal respectively at the Plateau State Governor’s Golf Cup.
3. In football, the State female team, Nasarawa Amazons FC, lifted the Female Aiteo Federation’s Cup after beating Rivers Angels in the final in Kaduna.
4. Also, the State male football club, Nasarawa United FC, defeated El-Kanemi Warriors to win the 3rd Edition of the Ahlan Pre-season Tournament Cup in kano, even as the Governor procured a modern, state-of-the-art ambulance for Nasarawa United FC and securing the services of a Medical Consultant and a professional Doctor to the team.
5. His Excellency facilitated the payment of debts owed former coaches and players of Nasarawa United FC.
6. This administration successfully hosted the Federation of Public Service Games,FEPSGA, in Lafia, with over five thousand participants as well as successfully receiving and transferring the Torch of Unity for Edo 2020 National Sports Festival.
7. Engagement and training of 246 youths(male and female) across the thirteen Local Government Areas of the State in burnt bricks production and provided with necessary tools to make them self-reliant.
8. At the North-Central Zonal Eliminations held in Ilorin, Kwara State, ahead of the 2020 National Sports Festival to be hosted by Edo State, twenty-eight young men and women from Team Nasarawa were invited to various Age-Grade National teams(Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey and Handball).
9. Rolling out its five-year Sports and Youth Development Reform Agenda.
10. Indeed, the Ministry and the State at large, has never had it this good.

We therefore felicitate with His Excellency and wish him a HAPPY FIRST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, while also praying God to keep, protect, and sustain his transformative efforts as he strives to serve the State and humanity generally.
