Super Eagles attacker, Henry Onyekuru scored a dream goal for Galatasaray as his team claimed a historic derby win against their arrival, Fenerbahce over the weekend.
Onyekuru scored in the 90th minute to make it 3-1 and seal the win for Galatasaray. The Nigerian’s winner was made more special as Galatasaray claimed their first derby win in 24 years. Galatasaray, known as the Lions, initially went a goal behind after 21 minutes before later replying with three goals.
The 20-year-old Onyekuru, who is on loan from French giants AC Monaco, won possession around the center line before launching a wonderful solo effort.
Reacting to the win Onyekuru expressed happiness for playing his part and dedicated the win to Galatasaray fans. “WE DID IT! Today we made history and won after 20 years at their home. I feel blessed to be able to be apart of this moment. This win is for YOU!,” Onyekuru later reacted on Twitter.
Both teams lost a player as Deniz Turuc and Younes Belhanda were sent off in the 84th minute.
The win took Galatasaray to 45 points same points with leaders Trabzonspor but second on goals difference.
